The Internet - as extraordinary as it is - does not work all by itself. It involves countless interconnected fiber networks carrying data all over the world. Some of these networks are more reliable than others. Some are more expensive than others. How these interconnected networks operate or what causes them to fail is of little importance or concern to most consumers — to Internet-based businesses it is absolutely crucial.

Tier 1 Network Redundancy

Our goal is to continually search for, and implement, the shortest and most efficient route between a client's server and their customers. Our built-in network redundancy maintains a premium level of connectivity and ensuring that our clients' servers will remain up even if one of our providers is down - involves highly sophisticated monitoring by knowledgeable engineers.

And while most facilities leave networks to sort out their own connectivity issues and take time reacting to outages, we utilize multiple network providers and purchase enough bandwidth so that when provider network issues occur our customers are protected. This proactive monitoring and continual scanning is configured to work like an eye in the sky over the Internet freeway, helping our users to find the quickest route home.

The proactive management approach also allows us to immediately identify, respond to, and repair any network or facility issues, many times faster and often before a client is even aware that a network event has occurred.

Redundant High Volume Air Conditioning

Constant temperature and humidity is critical in any facility that is populated by heat-generating servers and other specialty equipment.

In our data center, APC's redundant AFX series provides the High Volume Air Conditioning (HVAC) and backup required to cool our clients' server cabinets and maintain the proper overall environment for our vital hardware and communications equipment.

Redundant Security System

Controlling access to our data center and providing internal security for our clients' servers is one of the most important elements of our data center formula.

A fully integrated, redundant security system offers the most advanced security solution available and ensures confidence and trust among clients, staff, as well as data center personnel.

Our data center is protected by a sophisticated closed-circuit television system, a long-term digital storage system for video surveillance, and a state-of-the-art bio-metric scanner access and security. Keyless access to server cabinets offers a new level of proactive management allowing remote monitoring and logging of personnel access, Web-based management of cabinet environmentals, notification of security breaches, and monitoring of cabinet door latches.

Uninterruptible Power Supply

Power interruptions - from minor surges and spikes to more serious brownouts and blackouts - can damage or impair delicate electronic components, cause data loss, or permanently destroy expensive hardware.

We are well aware that billions of dollars and data ride on "always on, always online" Internet, e-commerce, and web-based businesses - and that protection against any unanticipated power disturbance is critical.

While basic surge protectors defend against power sags and spikes, the next level of protection is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). In the event of a brownout, blackout, or overvoltage our UPS provides battery back-up that aids in saving data by keeping computer systems running without interruption - before switching over to a diesel generator.

Our clean, cool, three-phase UPS power is supplied by APC's latest Silicon Series system. APC's Delta Conversion On-line technology offers the optimum power protection service for servers, telecom, air conditioning, and other mission-critical applications within the data center. Uninterrupted power means no downtime for our clients' servers and most importantly, peace of mind.

Waterless Fire Suppression System

Protection of our dedicated personnel, delicate electronics equipment, and the seamless operation of our clients' web-based businesses are paramount.

Our FM-200, state-of-the-art fire-suppression system is critical to the overall protection and security of the data center. The FM-200 system is designed to extinguish a fire in ten seconds or less, potentially saving millions of dollars in equipment, valuable assets, and lost production time. The FM-200 system uses a clean, odorless gas that leaves no residue and will not short out servers and communications equipment, or damage data files and software. (Other systems using water, foam, or chemicals can be as destructive as the fire itself).

FM-200 physically cools the fire at the molecular level, removing heat energy from the fire to the point that combustion can no longer be sustained. The gas is removed from the affected area by simple ventilation, allowing regular operations to continue in a relatively short period.
