ProStores Specific Custom Designs
ProStores designs can be beautiful. This is great news to entrepreneurs who have decided that a ProStores base template set just won't be enough to represent their online presence.
Taking Pride in Our Niche
You may have noticed that we don't take ourselves too seriously. However, we take custom ProStores designs very seriously. A quality design for an e-commerce store requires more planning and dedication than a regular informational site. We are proud to build some of the finest ProStores designs out there.
Here's How it Goes
To start, we gather as much information as we can for each custom design we propose. We should - there is a load of stuff that goes into an quality e-commerce design. The initial discussions, research and quoting process is one of the most important in the entire process — it sets the stage for success. The right way to do something is seldom the easiest.
Now that we have good idea of what you want, we toss it around internally. The designers knock out a few quick sketches, the programmers walk through any customizations - basically, everybody chimes in and adds some cool. It is at this point we create a proposal for you. Of course, you accept the proposal.
Start with a wire-frame
We create a wire-frame for the storefront. A wire-frame is a simple box model layout of the site elements. Deciding on placement of search boxes, navigation options, logos and tag lines upfront makes the rest of the project flow smooth. This is where things really start to move.
Put on some pretty
At this stage our designers create page compositions - these are graphical layouts for the storefront, product detail and catalog list templates. Depending on the project, you may have two or three rounds of revisions here... just to ensure you are happy with the design.
Make beautiful code
Once the page layouts are approved, we begin building web standards based web pages loaded with ProStores template tags - these do all the dynamic stuff for you. Once we are done, your store will change with you while you manage your online catalog. Let's face it, a good store is always changing and nobody wants to publish a web page every time they change a price.
